Add 12 stitches

Body: K 5, stockinette, k 5 until body is 7-8 inches.

Ugly dress

I used Queensland Collection Himalayas

Needles size 8 and 10

CO 68 sts with larger needles

K2p2 for 4 rows

K in the round for 9.5" from beginning

K2 k2tog to last 3 sts, k1 k2tog

Switch to smaller needles. 

K 1 row

P 1 row

Knit until body is 10" from beginning

Bo 4 sts. Knit 17. BO 8 sts. Knit 17. BO 4 sts. 

Break yarn and rejoin at the beginning of the next row. 

K1, k2tog, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1

Knit it stockinette until piece is 11 1/4" long. 

K 4, BO 7, K 4

Knit stockinette the four stitches until front measures 14". Slip stitches onto a holder. Repeat with other 4 stitches to 14" and place onto a holder. 

Repeat for the back

Using a 3 needle bind off, connect the shoulder seams. 

Pick up and knit around the neck and arms (separately) and then bind off loosely. 

Sew in your ends and enjoy.

Bulky Nalgene Cozy

Craig has been making huge Nalgenes of tea at night and the plastic gets hot. I used my mason jar cozy as a template for a Nalgene cozy.

Bulky Nalgene Cozy




Materials:


-size 13 circular needles (or dpn)-bulky weight yarn (I used Lion Brand Thick and Quick)-stitch marker-tapestry needle


Directions:CO 20 sts, pm, and join in the round using your prefered method (I like magic loop).
Rows 1-2: Knit 1x1 ribbing (K1, P1 around)
Rows 3-26: Knit
Row 27: Purl
Row 28: *Knit 3, k2tog* repeat to the end of the row (16 sts)Row 29: *Knit 2, k2tog* repeat to the end of the row (12 sts)Row 30: Knit Row 31: *Knit 1, k2tog* repeat to the end of the row (8 sts)Row 32: *K2tog* repeat to the end of the row (4 sts)
Break yarn, and using the tapestry needle, pull the yarn through the stitches and tie off.
Weave ends in.
