socks?

I finished my first pair of socks this week. I was not totally sure about the idea of knitted socks. I am very particular about what I put on my feet. I was afraid they would be uncomfortable, fall down, etc. But I finishe dmy first pair (and after some advice from Liz), I love them! I changed the cast-off to the Sewn Bind-Off and they stay up and aren't too tight. They look super cute in my Mary Janes (albiet the shoes need some cleaning of their own). Maybe I'll knit another pair of socks, something warm and luscious for the upcoming Maine winter. Suggestions anyone?

Next on the docket? A blue Pioneer Top made with O-Wool in Cornflower. The yarn is super delicious and soft. I just hope I can figure out the pattern! (It's not written in the most clear fashion.)

Spring has Sprung

It has been a long, long time since I have posted last. Since December, I have finished many items, lost two cameras (or had them stolen, not sure which), made the decision to leave Utah, drove across the country, flew back to Utah, and now have 27 days left of teaching. Yarn: Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran in Silver Grey (09)

Needles: #6 Dpns

These are super soft and super comfortable. I was a little nervous about turning a heel, but it was extremely easy. I did it once, and second guessed myself and then I took it out. After researching a little more, I realized I had done it right and did it again. All in all, they're beautiful and now I have very little left of this yarn! Maybe now I'll try to knit whole socks!
