Mossy Kindle Envelope

I made this for my grandmother for Xmas since I gave away the one I made her back in May. This took about 4 hours to knit up while watching TV. :)

Mossy Kindle Envelope

Materials:

Size 8 needles

Noro Kochoran

4 buttons

Tapestry needle


Notes:

Moss Stitch is 4 rows repeated. Odd rows are RS, even rows are WS.

1: [K1, P1] repeated to end

2 - 3: [P1, K1] repeated to end

4: [K1, P1] repeated to end


Directions:

CO 28 sts

Knit in Moss st for 12” ending on WS row (Row 4).

Buttonhole Row (RS): K1, P1, K1, P1, K2tog, YO, K1, P1, K1, P1, K2tog, YO, K1, P1, K1, P1, K2tog, YO, K1, P1, K1, P1, K2tog, YO, K1, P1, K1, P1 (28 sts)

Next Row (WS): [K1, P1] repeat until end.

Continue in Moss Stitch for 1 more inch. Bind off and weave in ends.

Fold rectangle at the 5” mark from the beginning of the rectangle. Sew up the sides and weave in ends. Turn the bag inside out to hide stitching. Attach 4 buttons behind the buttonholes.

Insert Kindle and enjoy!
